Administrators


Get Started – ADD A NEW ADMINISTRATOR WITH FULL ACCESS TO EVERYTHING

  1. Log into WebWiz@rd

  2. Click on the Standard Modules tab

  3. Click on the Administrators module

  4. On the left-hand side of the page under Related Actions click on Add a new administrator

  5. Click on the Basic Details tab

  6. Fill in the username, password, confirm password, first name, last name, and email address

  7. Click on the Module Permissions tab

  8. Check off all the permissions you would like to give the new administrator

  9. Click on the Save button when you are finished adding the permissions

RESTRICT AN ADMINISTRATOR’S MODULE OPTIONS (OPTIONAL)

  1. Log into WebWiz@rd

  2. Click on the Standard Modules tab

  3. Click on the Administrators module

  4. Click on the Edit this user icon (the pencil) beside the Administrator that you wish to restrict

  5. Check off the Restricted Options box beside any module that you want the Administrator to have limited access

  6. See below what the restrictions are for each module.

  7. Click on the Save button at the bottom of the screen

RESTRICTED OPTIONS FOR EACH MODULE

  1. Page Content

    1. Manage the number of pages and the general content of your site.

      1. If you have restricted access to the Page Content module, you cannot:

        1. Edit any of the existing pages. If you want to make changes based on someone else’s work, you must first make a clone of their page and work off that.

        2. Delete any of the pages that you did not create.

        3. Activate any of the pages (you cannot make a page “live”). If you want to activate a page you must request approval from an administrator that does not have Restricted Options in the Page Content module. You can request approval directly in the module.

    2. Manage your blog posts.

      1. If you have restricted access to the Blog in the Page Content module, you cannot:

        1. Edit any of the content of posts from other bloggers.

        2. Delete any of the blog posts that you did not create.

        3. Manage blog comments.

        4. Activate any blog posts (you cannot make a blog “live”). If you want to activate a blog posting, you must request approval from an administrator that does not have Restricted Options in the Blog in the Page Content module. You can request approval directly in the module.

  2. File Manager

    1. Upload and manage the documents and images used on your site.

      1. If you have restricted access to the File Manager module, you cannot:

        1. Delete images or documents

        2. Load images into the image editor

        3. Move or Rename a file

  3. Newsletter

    1. Manage the newsletters as well as the subscribers of those newsletters.

      1. If you have restricted access to the Newsletter module, you cannot:

        1. Distribute or Delete a newsletter

HELPFUL HINTS

  • Remember not all Administrators should be given permission to the Administrator module

  • You can give an Administrator permission to a single module; they do not have to have permissions to every module
